LADAKH. Situated in the far north of India, Ladakh is often
called "Small Tibet", "Lunar Earth" or "Last Shangri La" and
has been able to preserve an authentic Buddhist culture. In these high lands, crossed by
the Indus valley , are scattered numerous villages and monasteries. Often perched on the
mountainside, they offer striking scenery set against a backdrop of unusually coloured
rocks, snow-covered peaks, and a deep blue
cloudless sky. This region, which is an extension of the Tibetan plateau, offers arid
landscapes broken miraculously with a few verdant oases. A trek in Ladakh is a chance to
visit some of the most famous Buddhist
    monasteries: Hemis, Tikse, Shey, Stock.

    ZANSKAR. North of
the Great Himalayan range, amongst a tangled knot of jagged mountains, lies a rugged and
fascinating land, the once independent kingdom of Zanskar. Sandwiched between the Indus
Valley and the main crest of the Indian Himalayas, this remote and inaccessible setting,
well guarded by snowy mountain passes, has kept alive an archaic form of Tibetan Buddhism
which flourishes in a chain of far-flung monasteries, most of which occupy spectacular
fortified locations, high on rocky ridges above isolated valleys. Lovely high meadow camp
sites and dry desert land, high passes and snow-capped peaks, Buddhist monasteries and picturesque villages with
their irrigated fields of barley and potatoes, and fascinating encounters with the
Zanskari people turn a trek in this area into an unforgettable experience.

    WILD LIFE TOURS, SAFARIS,
CYCLE TOURS... India is the land where reality blends into the magical
world of dreams and wishes. It's a paradise for all kinds of outdoor activities. From
Kashmir to Tamil Nadu and from Rajasthan to Bengal, you will discover a land of vibrant
colours, with so many breath-taking views and an abundance of temples and monuments to
    visit.
