The Kali Sarda River Expedition takes you through splendid scenery in a region
abundant with wildlife and bird life and offers some classic Class IV white water
thrills. Rising on the slopes of Mount Abi (7,132 m ), the Kali Sarda river for the most
of its length demarcates the western boundary between India and Nepal.
The valley of the Kali has always been a
trading route up to Tibet where the Tibetans used to trek for 6 to 8 weeks down to India
to trade their rather meagre wares for salt.
The entire expedition can be completed in 10 days and can be combined with a horse safari
in the culturally rich Kumaon or a wild life safari in the Jim Corbett National park or a
jeep safari across Kumaon
Himalayas. |
